Hi

Hopefully someone here might be able to help.

I saw some car mirror covers on a few cars over the weekend, union jack and st georges cross.

Does anyone know where you might get hold of such items, as would like some in time for the jubilee and then for the Euro finals and olympics of course.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Fleckers, couldn't find anything on Tesco and the Wilkinsons ones look a bit odd, not sure those ones would do my Boxter justice, would probably look ok on a Seat.

In all seriousness, the ones I've seen looked good and a lot better and quieter I expect than flags!

The other link was for a Welsh flag, it is the Union Jack and St Georges Cross car mirror covers that I wanted.

Thanks for the serious replies, I thought as they were for my car that a motoring forum may be a good place to start.

My son wants me to put some on the cars.

Thanks again

To be fair I've not really seen many cars with the covers on, why not make your own OP?

Hi TonyKart

Thanks so much for that.

Just what I'd seen on the other vehicles, perfect they do both of the designs that I'm after. Despite some of the other comments, I hardly drive a 'chav' like car, but I will take it on the chin re is it a proper Porsche, though that normally comes from a Fiesta driver!!

My son really thought they looked great, and we're doing jubilee parties, love the football and I doubt we'll see the Olympics again here in my lifetime (but maybe his).

Do you mind me asking what the quality was like and are they fairly easy to fit?

The overall quality is good and the flexible material fits well around the mirror and a drawstring to keep it in place.
They are a fiver!
I've seen loads around our way in Coventry, have not seen them on a boxter yet so I'll give you a bib if I see you!
P.s couldn't you afford a proper porch, sorry Porsche!

Hi Russy,

Took a look at the covers from Wilkinsons, wasn't too sure about the design, are ones you got a 'normal' flag, or a bit of a 'wavy' design?

In any event, good to hear that you'll be sporting them on your S2000, I hear great reports about them, though have never driven one.

Tonykart,

Thanks for the car mirror covers com link, I've ordered one of each of the 2 designs, will post on here when I receive them. Because you helped me find them, I'll let you off with the Porsche comment, I hope you don't have a Fiesta however!!

Oh, and you might want to subtly change your username before someone notices the comedy error.

Oh, I'm sure the English flag will do your German car justice.

I tried the patriotic approach on an old rover, but I couldn't push it fast enough to make the flag wave properly!

Point taken guys, good one!

I would rather eat my wing mirrors than attached that st to them! and the irony is buying something that's meant to be patriotic was probably made in china.
