To be fair, you can't see all the ripples in the back wing from the dent we banged out, or the numerous car park type dents in the passenger door, or the stone chips, or... laugh

It did scrub up well though. He wants to attack it with all his new detailing stuff in a few weekends time. The pic above was his version of a quick going over!

Black paint can be a bit of a challenge. Mine is metallic dark green. Lots of scratches and imperfections but still looks great to me after a going over with Autoglym. Shocking how quickly dust seems to settle in the office car park. Although even this doesn't detract too badly until it gets rained on.

I like the sidelight replacements - is the extra air ducted to anywhere useful like into the airbox? Where did you get them? Oh, and do the replacement sidelights work OK, they look like LED's...

PS Nice wheels too what size/offset?

Wheels look like 15" Rota RB to me and the sidelight intakes will likely have indicators but no sidelights. Usually they are just used to allow air into the under-bonnet area and not really ducted anywhere. There are arguments as to whether they actually draw air in or not as it's not a particularly high-pressure area.

There must be an alternative source of sidelight then?

I don't think sidelights are a requirement. Indicators are.

Oops thanks all, I best update..

The TSI's (turn signal intakes) on the front are vented and I have some LED side lights mounted behind them.I do have the option to have sidelights in my main headlamps though. The small lamps you see on them are indeed indicators. As for where you get them, I got them second hand. They do crop up now and again but I am not sure if those specific ones are made any longer.Skuzzle Motorsport used to make a set with a different indicator, but again, not sure if you can still get them. There were also a different set called Jet Stream and there are yet another set made of metal which are a bit more bling and are flat with slots in (can't remember the name)

Wheels are 15" Rota RB's, 195 Toyos, ET35 iirc.

Modster sticker indeed! Will be at Bromley if all goes well.I can then enjoy people pointing out all my dents, as though I had no idea they were there (I'm mostly looking at you Mum) tongue out

Sure...he's amazing at what he does hehe

Actually, I think he got some shots but I didn't.It wasn't a tragic mess, but it had the usual swirl marks and general grime since it was last cleaned properly.

Great looking car, I keep thinking of taking mine to a professional detailers but seems a bit pointless at present. Less than 100 yards from my house they are building a new set of houses and the dust flying around is unreal. I gave it a really good clean yesterday and a less than 3 hours later when I went back out it was covered in dust once again, totally frustrating. I can't wait until they've finished, they knocked down the old buildings back in the middle of February and it looks like it'll be going on for a while yet
