I was fully intending on cutting and carpeting myself but that's really gone out of the window now. I've therefore got a roll of dark blue coverdale carpet 1.2m wide x 5m long.

I want to get rid really as i've had another plan of what i'm going to do. If anyone is interested in this i paid £120 for it but would take less just to get rid and go towards funding the new plan.

Hi mate
I decided not to fit mine either, looks harder than I expected.
After loads of ringing around I found a price for about £100, will confirm when he sees the car

nice bloke and gives me an excuse for a seaside weekend break when the car is finally MOT'd. I think i'll get him to fit a new roof while i'm there also.

might be worth considering?

For not much more than £120 they should be making you a carpet set ! look at the prices of other cars..

I feel they are using the TVR name to charge excessively.!

£360 for a nylon ready made carpet set is around double the price of most cars ..and even triple.

Hi Brett, cheers pal, yea i spoke to that guy before. He quoted me £250 to have them all cut, bound etc etc.... looks like you got yourself a bargain there ! ha. Was that £100 to fir the ready cut carpet set or was that to cut and pipe from a roll as well ? He is a lovely chap and i've been seriously considering it but going to go a different route now instead i think. Only problem is now i'm stuck with a bloody massive roll of coverdale carpet. ha.

How's your interior coming on? Started getting it back together fully yet ?

On a very positive note....WHAT A DAY it is here. I'm soooo looking forward to finishing work. I haven't had the roof on mine for 2 days now and hoping it's going to stay that way for the rest of the week !

oh sorry i mis read your post mate.
£100 or there abouts was to fit the Coverdale set i've already been ripped off for (£300 odd for the set).
my interior is already removed so should be a simplish job for someone who knows what they are doing.
Interior still the same, waiting for some bits to come back from the trimmer and laser cutters so i've not been able to test the seats yet i'm afraid. Not too much longer hopefully though

Ahhh, i thought as much. Yea they are an absolute rip off aren't they. I'm going a different route with mine, not sure if my grande plan will work but we shall see i suppose. Watch this space.

I loved the look of it with the extra dial in there. Also, are all those dials brand spankers ? They look reaaaaally good !!

No rush on the seats at all, got other way more pressing matters at the moment and after realising the s2k seats i've got in there have got speakers in them i might be able to put up with them not fitting quite properly ! You seem quite technical....is there a way of changing the bottom half of the seats so that they would sit lower down do you know ? So, for example, to put Mx5 bottom bits and still keep the s2k backs ? I don't know if this is even faesable, i might be sounding totally crazy, but worth asking. ha.

I dont think you can change the bottom half of the seats as they will have custom fittings to the top half.
I would get the speakers wired in though smile

One option might be to look at how they are mounted to the car? There might be an inch or so you could loose with different mountings? But this all depends on what runners they are using, they might be as low as possible already

Ahh bugger, i've already looked at that and they already sit as low as they can. Yea i wired the speakers up last week, just saw some random wires that had been rammed into the bottom of the seat (funnily enough when i was checking the runners) so just wired them up to the wires that were already there for the rears (which i don't have) and hey presto. Cannot believe how much better it sounds !!

All i need now is some bass !!! Where you based Brett ?
