haha very true! I had titled it as 'unrealistic performance figures', it just didnt register that...thats my excuse.

Would a mod be able to add the title??

Just e-mailed the seller:-

"If you can back those figures up I'll sell a kidney and give you £5k for it... Cash!"

I don't think a Pinto engine on carbs is going to produce 700bhp.

Little optimistic I reckon.

Wow 700BHP out of a 2.0 Cortina engine with carbs. Thats impressive.

Engine manufacturers should sign this owner up, he is clearly a genius.

Cannot be anything other than a wind up. I'll bet that if you call the number the person at the other end has no idea what you are calling for.

700 bhp, 100 Nm of torque - that'll be a bit of a screamer then at oh, 30,000 rpm or so... laugh

Many, many moons ago, an old friend of mine had a brother whom was a tad 'special'. Said friend, gave this brother his old moped. The moped had an upright plexiglass screen and, according to said brother, the faster it went, the more the screen vibrated and, the more it vibrated the faster it went; in fact, top speed was a thousand miles per hour. Now I'm sure this brother has not the intellect to switch on a PC but, perhaps his carer has, and has opened up PH classifieds for him.

I wonder if the seller would be kind enough to let me know what mods give that performance as I'd like to upgrade my RS2000 a bit. wink

I imagine it's 70bhp and 12 secs 0-60. Not sure where the 80MPG is coming from though.

The most surprising figure is £4000 for (what appears to be) a half decent Mk2!!

Can someone work out how many rpm you need for 700bhp with 100nm of torque?

I've been told to cut down on carbs as I'm getting too fat!
