I've had a company car for the past 7 years but may soon be changing jobs, losing the company car.
I will have a budget of upto £5,000 to start off with, but have seen a few options for alot less than that.
I will be doing a 36 mile round trip 4-6 times a week, mainly on nice A roads and a dual carriageway.
The car im looking for must be a decent size low mileage 5 door, look the part, pretty quick & fun to drive but returning good fuel economy, and be reliable/not expensive for parts etc.
Examples of cars im looking at within my budget are below but any other recommendations, or reasons why i shouldnt go for any of these would be much appreciated.
Also, as i havent had my own insurance for a while i have 0 no claims discount (would i get any from the company car insurance?), im 29yrs old so insurance isnt going to be a major factor. And what are the running costs when comparing petrol to diesel...is there that much difference overall?

I had an Octavia Vrs before a few years back for about 4 months and it was a great car.

I think I'd go for the mondeo out of that group.

Based entirely on looks, I think the Saab looks quite nice. Beyond that, can't help you, sorry frown

Octavia or the Saab for me. I think the Leon cupra is over priced... could get a diesel model with sensible mileage for that money.
