Must see things in Canada
Discussion
Hi all.
I am off to Canada for 2 weeks in July and was wondering if there are any things or places to eat etc you recommend checking out while I am there.
I will be Flying in to Calgary then staying in Banff for a few days then Lake Louise then off to Vancouver to tour the island.
I plan to visit the Stampede Rodeo in Calgary one day but other than that.

Vancouver : Have a few days there and explore the various areas. West Vancouver / Granville Island / Downtown / English Bay.
Vancouver Island : Drive across from the East coast to the West coast and head to Tofino. You will see bears in the wild, the avenue of massive trees, the rain forest, wonderful waterfalls (Wallys Falls)...........and stay at Tofino. Go for a wlak along the 'Long Beach' and visit the visitor centre and have lunch (fish and chips) overlooking the beach and the ocean. WHale spotting, Bald Eagles , Bears, and loads of wildlife.
Do a kayak trip across the sound and visit the First Nations Islands: See the oldest tree in Canada ( they think it is anyway !), and come back at night and enjoy some drinks and great food at 'Shelter' (look it up on the web).
Drive across the Rockies from Calgary to Vancouver. Make sure you pass through the Okanagan area which is great for fruit and wine.
Go through 'Hope' and see the numerous chain saw carvings.
Take your time.
That should keep you busy !
