Further noob questions, thanks all for your help in my journey toward LSIS ownership
Just had a quote from Adrian Flux at £316 fully comp for the MK Indy I am think of buying, but its £610 with track day insurance (or £100 per day).
What do most people here do for trackdays? Do you have inclusive insurane? Do you insure daily, or just take the risk? (I'm hopefully mature enough to be able to control the red mist, although some might disagree ;P)
Cheers Rich

Hmm, REIS quoted me £680 including 4 track days. Even though I have forever no claims on my main car I suspect the 4.0L engine, and my 2x 3pt SP30s might be hurting me
Adrian Flux quoted £316 but no inclusive track days which are an additional £100 per day.
I'm leaning toward AF (for obvious reasons) and just take the risk on track days.

As has been said before the excess on the trackday cover can be very high and generally doesn't cover mechanical issues. For me the excess is £2k so I guess you need to weigh up the cost of a minor off. I reckon TD insurance really only become useful if you total the car......but let's not think about that.

I was assuming that TD insurance would be 3rd party anyway. But I agree, I don't think I'll bother with TD insurance.Went with Adrian. The current owner passed on his insurers contact details, they offered a lower premium, but when I called back 24 hours later they refused to insure me and said their trainee had made a mistake. I pointed out that had I taken their original offer it would have gone through and then probably been completely invalid had I wished to claim on it, with possible subsequent legal action on me for not being insured (pretty sure the law doesn;t care if was the broker who f**ked up).
I called my main car insurer Admiral (multicar - great discounts especially when you have a 17yo learner in the family), and after 18 mins of speaking to the indian call centre I finally got through to the UK centre and they said they dont insure kit cars - fair enuf.
Lesson: if you want to speak with Admiral UK call before 12:00 as the Indian call centre doesn't start till then
Thanksto the kind adviser who told me that after I complained about 18 mins wasted at 8p/min.
