Experiencing funny problem

I am not sure, if my experience directly depends on www.pistonheads.com, but it only appears here (since Sunday), even when I'm using more browser windows with different sites:
While running XMMS (a music player similar to winamp) I called different sites within Gassing Station, and very often the loading process halts, until I 'stop' or 'skip' the current song in the player. E. g. loading stopps, and recommences in the gap between two songs
Pressing just 'Pause' has no effect
Sometimes that appeares:
Browser is Mozilla 1.0; OS Linux; connection 768k; RAM 256MB

I can't comment on the other problems which are unlikely to be down to PH, but I am aware of the problem below and am trying to track it down at this moment. It's down to one of the IIS processes dying intermittently. It's proving a bit of bastard to isolate
