Thanks for that - have just tried them, but they have nothing suitable - so it's the tedious processes of cutting a bit of each end!

I've heard it's a good idea to seal the cut edges with something like super glue to stop water getting inside. Not cut a plate down myself so maybe wait to hear from someone who has...
