Done it...finally!
Discussion
Some of you may recall my plea's for help in finding an M3 CS. After 6 months of looking, countless trips excitedly travelling to look at the "perfect" car, only to return san's car and much disappointed, I finally found the one!
She's a 55 plate, interlagos blue, 36k mile, SMG II beauty!
I picked her up from sunny Glasgow on Monday and had a wonderful drive back!
First impressions; Amazingly usable performance, glorious soundtrack, comfy and surprisingly frugal - 32mpg on the motorway at a very sensible speed! Although that said it does drop to quite scary figures when you're having fun on the twisties, but I if I'd have wanted great fuel consumption I've had bought something else.
I originally wanted a manual but when I found this one I couldn't turn it down, it is in amazing condition, to the point I'm thinking twice about using it as my daily. I am an absolute amateur with the SMG II box and seriously need to read about how to use it and all the features it offers!
Anyway, here are a few photos from the chap I bought it from - I think these are from when he bought it but it's in the same condition, mainly down to him only covering 3000 miles and being a detailer!

I'll be starting a blog on it and I'll try and get some more photos up soon if anyone is interested.

welcome to the club
1k less miles than mine now as well, I'm sure you will catch me up in no time though! I was in exactly the same dilemma for the same reason with using mine as a daily driver and in the end decided not to but each to their own.Do you mind me asking how much you picked it up for? Only just interested to keep an eye on the CS values.
Enjoy it mate it's an amazing machine and the more you get to know it the better it gets.
PS quick tip: when starting from cold (really loud and raspy) put sport button on and give throttle a very gentle but quick blip (3k or so max) and it spits crackles and pops - sounds absolutely amazing

Thanks guys for all the comments.
For those wanting to know how much I paid for it, all I'll say is;
I paid more than I wanted to and probably more than some would say it's worth but I did pay less than the asking price (16k). The heart certainly ruled the head but it was the best I'd seen in the last 6 months of looking and I'm happy!
After a few days of ownership the list of "to-do's" has started;
Engine oil and filter change - it's only done 6k miles since the last service but that was more than a year ago.
Gearbox oil change
Check front lower wishbone bushes - slight wheel wobble at motorway speed and it feels the same as my E46 330 when they needed doing, hopefully just wheel balances though
A couple of the rear bumper clips are fubar'd, I think from when the carbon diffuser was fitted.
Other than that it's just a case of driving it and learning the SMG II!
