European Breakdown Cover

I've always had cover with Britannia Rescue. They still cover the MX5 and that is well over 10 years old. £130 though for the full european jobby.
Seems to be a lot of love for ADAC cover on the Le Mans forums.
I'm with Britannia too. Had to call them out last week, may well not be renewing. They outsource the European coverage to another based in the south of France, but everything has to be referred back to the UK for authorisation before it can happen. Seems to be a lot of love for ADAC cover on the Le Mans forums.
I got UK & European breakdown and recovery at the same time as my insurance policy from A Mannings, cost about £75. But i think it may be a seperate policy, not sure if you need insurance from them or not. In the past i added the breakdown on part way through my policy. Worth a chat with them or your insurers as at £75 it was loads cheaper than a standalone european breakdown policy.
I recommend Green Flag. When my clutch went in Granada 6 years ago they repatriated the car, it was off within 2 hours, taxi'd me to Granada Airport to pick up a hire car which I drove to Bilbao, they taxi'd me to the ferry and there was a hire car at Portsmouth to go home in. No cost to me and effortless service

That's good service.I've just gone with Green Flag....well, it's a freebee on the bank account, so it's reassuring to know that the service was so 'polished'.
Having said that, I was with RAC and when I broke down at Le Mans in my S, we were sorted out eventually. It did take a while for RAC to mobilise a low loader, though, which meant we had to stay an extra night (paid for by RAC) in Le Mans. Turned out to be the distributor...which could have been fixed in a day at a Land Rover dealer. So, not bad service from them either.
