Anyone training/competing their dogs in agility?
I got a couple of things off ebay for Mac to try out. A set of jumps, weave poles, hoop jump and tunnel/chute.
So far so good - we've only had a couple of sessions and he's picking it all up really well.
Training for the tunnel went like this:
Session 1) 5 minutes of throwing food into the tunnel and holding the other end open so he ran through.

I have no idea how he picked it up so fast - he's a natural

Do you train at a club as well or just on your own?
A couple of pointers - is the tunnel pegged down at all? It is possible for the dog to get caught up in the fabric and start the tunnel rolling, especially with a lightweight one like you have. It is s pretty scary experience for them and can put a dog off it, so securing the tunnel is a great idea. A good idea is to throw a ball on his exit to keep him going forward.
No doubt others will have more ideas for you.

Spiffing - I'm just doing it on my own. Mac & I have a good "understanding" when it comes to training, so he picks things up really fast. I am getting to the stage where I want some of the bigger equipment though (A-frame, dog walk, see-saw) and I don't know how I'm going to manage that on my own.
