Dead Wallaby at the side of the M1. WTF?

My Mum saw a mink in similar circumstances a few years ago.
There's a hell of a lot of Mink around, a bunch of animal rights nutters released thousands of them some years back, thus decimating the wildlife in the area 
I caught the end of the travel news on the radio they other day saying there were delays on a motorway somewhere due to a sofa on the carriageway! I did wonder if it was Eddies...

Coming home from Brum yesterday there was a dead wallaby/ young kangaroo that had been hit by a car. It was on the junction where the M1 joins the M25.
It caused me to do a cartoon style double take.
Anyone figure out how it may have got there?
