Got a thumb nail sized stone chip in the screen last week and was recomended a chap who has just repaired it,he has done a fantastic job for under £50 ,it took him the best part of an hour

Really only because I have had the car for only about 4 weeks and did not want to make a claim and I have an excess on the screen insurance.

Also the point that I was tryiing to share was that the chap did a great job,I had an experience a few years ago with a national company who made a mess of repairing a screen for me.

If you pay or your insurance you still want a good job doing

fair enough although for future reference you'll find that 95% of policies do not have an excess for a repair, only for a replacement and the claim never counts towards anything as regards ''claiming', they are the closest to a free gift from your insurers you'll ever receive smile
