Took this photo from underneath today and the tyre fitter garage type bloke told me that the Goodyear NC2 on the offside rear was manufactured in 1983 so the tyre i have on my car is probably the one that came from the factory fitted to the car FFS yikes. The one that was in the boot which i have since fitted to the front offside is an NC2 aswell but loads more tread as it obviously has been in the boot from day one cause the alloy is immaculate yikes.

Makes you think when your hitting 125 down the A1(M)yikes.

Old tyres on a car are just lethal.

You really should change them ASAP.

Change them ASAP

But spend at at least 30 mins burning the old ones out :-)

I had old tyres on my SEAC when I bought it .. they were just so hard
that they would just spin up in second and third gear in the dry.

As they were so hard - they would probably never wear out.

NCT2's was made a lot after 82.
My 89 400SE was originally fitted with Bridgestone RE91's but was later fitted with NCT2's what were very bad even when new. so they made them in the 90's.

Dix,

No worries son, as no matter what happens at high speed, you will have the power in your forearms to handle it as a result of driving a real car with no "power assisted" ladies "upgrades"

Gav (arms like a North east steel worker) wink
