If my Tiv sells i'll want something to use evenings and weekends (use a van for work) and what with the summer coming i thought...

A ratty old Landy, seen a light weight (even better!) with a V8 up front and no roof on top...if it rains then err, get wet? and it'll have shelter at night.

As long as it's got ticket (the i am eyeing up has) and is solid i couldnt care less about the rest! Maybe give it a satin black spray or roller paintjob?

Before anybody asks, yes, i have owned a crusty old Landy before and am aware of their foibles... i'm also spanner handy and have a workshop and a wide range of hammers wink

So, sily idea?

The idea of such a beast to smoke to the pub and back in on a balmy eve makes me smile! V8, no roof and the brutish looks of a landy! Plus nobody would nick or vandalise a scruffy old bus either!

I may been talking myself into this a lot....

Where do you live?

Maybe I'm just jaded because some scrotes near here torched seven cars in under an hour the other week.

A friend had a V8 Lightweight, it was a great laugh.

It was a bit of an old dog and never ran right- the further you pulled the choke out the more cylinders it fired on! I'd say do it; great noise and great fun even if it will still be dog slow, unreliable and uncomfortable.

And will drink more than my TVR but will still be epic!

The older the better. Saw a 1950's one the other day with a V8 - Meaty.

Indeed but the old old ones fetch silly money!
