It seemed odd to me...

I came off the M1 at Jct2 this evening. It's a nasty 30mph posted sliproad with a tight corner. I'm glad I was awake as the traffic round the corner was crawling along at about 10mph.

"That's odd" think I.

All became clear as the road widened to become the A1. There was a BiB car (possibly TonyRec - but I thought he was normally further west - I waved anyway) lights a-flashing following a car with a nearside rear puncture.

What confused me was why BiB didn't get the guy to replace the tyre on the hard shoulder before the junction or get recovered, especially given the tight sliproad.

Any thoughts?

This is not a criticism, 'cause I don't know the circumstances or "normal practice" in such cases.
