Ford Essex engine

Engine question,,
came across a engine for a 3000m
do not need it but could be handy to help someone out or
have it as a spare,is this type engine easy to find?
the one I found has a new fuelpump,waterpomp,low miles,steel distubutionwheels,sharp camshaft(what ever this means?),weber carb(rebuild)
recent rebuild(can't check inside )
average-price???
so my question is leave or buy it,

Hi, if you decide not to buy it I might be interested. What year engine is it? I'd be looking for the later type.

essex engines are not worth much money as long as you can get a (running) reliant scimitar for 200 to 300pound

I got mine with a landy series 2 box and alu adaptor plate for £100

We got an almost complete essex engine, excluding camshaft and carb for £14 off ebay.

It's also in pretty good condition, and what looks like its original bore.
