Boring post yes but need to top up the GT2 with some oil.
What do you guys recommend?
A heads up would be good.
Porsche in its approved oils list document says it is best to top up the engine with the same oil that was used to fill up the engine. In most cases this would be Mobil 1 0w-40 oil. In a pinch though using any of the approved oils is preferred to running the engine too low on oil. What do you guys recommend?

Going forward in the future after having the car serviced you should at least get a spare quart (liter) of oil to carry in the car just to have it handy to top up the engine with. If you want place the bottle in two large (gallon?) plastic bags with the zip seal feature in case the bottle leaks. However, I've never had this happen and I carry a quart or two of oil in both of my cars' front trunk at all times.
Sincerely,
Rockster.
