Early Sept central France for 4-5 days. What's the weather likley to do and any suggestions for must see things and touring routes? Looking for scenery, driving, good food and budget hotels. Arriving and leaving via Calais.

Over to you Chaps thumbup

Drive to Clermont-Ferrand, 6 hours approx. then explore the magnificent Auvergne region. The viaduc de Millau and the Gorges du Tarn are only another couple of hours further south.

And if you do that then go to the Grotte des demoiselles. Or if you don't go south then the 24 hour bike race is on at LeMans in Sept.
