On my way this morning to get this done to my M5. Free up that lovely noise that is currently strangled.

However, getting to current system flanged so it can all be refitted for track days/selling in due course.

I did this to my E60 M5... deleted the silencers and then put v-band flanges in both old and new so it could swopped in minutes.

Also amazed at the amount of weight it saved smile

Custom Chrome in Nuneaton did mine, a top job and you can stay and watch it being done, I think I paid £250 including the old silencers being flanged to refit if desired.

I was originally going to go for the same size and type as the originals, but was persuaded to go for some ditzy Custom Chrome ones which are marginally larger than stock and only *just* fit the reliefs in the rear apron. It is a non standard look but it isnt too in your face.

Im guessing your looking for something like this.

This is me pulling mine out of the garage to show what cold start sounds like.

If you listen to the last 3 seconds of the video you can here the air pump stop and the exhaust sounds like it would on warm idle

I'm going to get mine done soon. I'm thinking of going for 3.5" pipe with out tips to keep it as original as possible.
