Coming south today this happened just in front of us, by the time we got to the front plenty of help so didnt stop. Interested to know if the horses were ok as it was announced on the radio that one lane had been reopened some 3hrs later

And saw the aftermath of an almight crunch on M40 north near oxford. Looked like Sat night at the local banger meet looked like 6 cars over 100yds

I seen a horse lorry which had a wheel missing. Did look badly damaged otherwise.

Traffic cops stopped traffic for a couple mins whilst they cleared debris.

What are they like inside? Just big, empty boxes or do they have some kind of restraints and a small area so the horse can't move about?

A two horse trailer will have a removable 'seperation panel' between them and is usually used if just one horse in a two horse trailer
This is so that they cannot shift weight suddenly and unbalance the trailer

They can move a little bit so they do not get 'cramp'

I'm not horsey either but I run the towing clinic on the H&H site and have picked up a few things but my terminology is probably not correct

Pass our good wishes to the 'orses and the humans!!

Glad it is all ok, looked a bit 'iffy' at the time

Didnt see it happen only the cloud of dust and brake lights as we rounded the bend
