My turtles enjoying the sun

So, theyve been a lot more active in the pond over the past few weeks as its got warmer, plenty of mating dances going on too (no soft area to dig so they wont actually mate)

My turtles are in full basking mode today:




Ive got 8 - 5 yellow bellied sliders and 3 map turtles.

Wish my life was as easy as theirs.

Do they live in the pond all year round? Great little critters!

They live on the pond from march to sept/oct.

Then off to their 500 gallon heated indoor tank - luxury.

If the pond was deeper (5ft or so, the yellow bellies could hibernate outside).
