Hi
Took the Elise out for a blast today, when I hit about 100mph the interior of the car filled with smoke.
Soon as I lifted off the gas it disappeared as quick as it appeared.
Checked the engine bay, looks normal (not that I'm a mechanic) and seems to be running OK.
Any ideas?
Cheers

check oil level in sump...Possible overfill.
check underneath the car for oil or coolant leakage.
Check waterhose clamps especially on the exhaust side of the engine.
Check wiring harness around engine and firewall for scortching from a short circuit.
Be easier if you knew whether it was oil smoke or coolant smoke or the smell of burning plastic.
I would not drive it until you rule out the electrical fire.

Sorry, I couldn't help noticing that in the MyStuff page (www.pistonheads.com/gassing/mystuff.asp) it currently says "Smoke... weed"
Of course it'll say Smoke Bonce now, but it was funny while it lasted.
