Can anyone recommend someone to do a load of bodywork for me on a mk1 mini? - I just don't have the time any more
preferably located in Bedfordshire...
I'll post some pics of what needs doing to my two unfinished project minis - should be good comedy value!

one's a deseamed 66 mk1, bulkhead prepared for metro turbo - I have all the bits but no time to finish it.
the other's a 62 which is basically standard but needs a bit of love - like both a-panels, a wing and a couple of other rust patches sorting, including the dreaded bit in front of the rear wheel arches....

The man you need is our Chris Spennewyn.
He is located on the Herts/Beds border just outside Hitchin.
Call him at his workshop on 01462 71080.
A real Mini expert at very reasonable rates.

I was looking at your shell today as ther is a bit ore space in his workshop now.
Your 1275 engine was awaiting your collection and your driver's door was in primer.

thanks Cooperman - you were right - Chris is a consummate professional, and clearly has an awesome knowledge of Minis and very high standards.

Unfortunately it just wouldn't be economically sound to get Chris to do either of my cars - in fact, all credit to him for suggesting I look for another good condition car as a base for my project, rather than restoring what I've got.

So essentially I'm still looking for someone to tackle one of my cars - focusing on making it structurally sound rather than concours.....
