Having never done this before, is it straight forward to remove and replace the rear shocks on the Chimaera. Do I need any special tools or is it simply unbolt and replace? Or do I go to the garage, if so can any reasonable garage tackle this job?

Cheers

Piece of cake, 2 bolts to each.

Saying that, if yours have never been off then there's the usual crud around the bolts making it a little more difficult.

The fronts are straight forward, (bottom bolt a bit of a b*gger).

The rears top mount doubles with the top wishbone mount iirc.

Just take your time with the right tools, 17 & 19mm ratchet and combination spanners required, again iirc.

Easy peasy, just whip the bolts down your local fastners aswell and fit new ones, for the sake of a couple of quid do not refit the old ones and Ofcorse plenty of copper grease on them when fitting back
