997 roof rack recommendations

Help!!

I have a 997 C2 on 55 plate and need to transport a bike and at times my windsurfing kit. Can anyone recommend a rook rack which will fit this car and even recommend a bike carrier?

Not sure if the 997 is the same but the only one I could find for the Cayman was the Porsche one.

Due to the curved roof there don't seem to be any after market bars which fit.

They also do Bike Carriers but these look to me like a re-badged Mont Blanc Barracuda ( at slightly inflated prices ! ).

In any case I bought the bars and two carriers and it works very well on the Cayman, very secure and well built.

My OPC was willing to deal as they said they only sell a very small number so definitely worth a haggle.

Only the official Porsche roof transport bars will fit and they will them carry any bike carries. I use Montblanc Barracudas which are excellent. For the bars, you can either buy from an OPC one eBay. They all rust btw.

Thanks for that....OPC sound pricey. Just found out from a colleague (former Porsche UK Parts Manager) that it is in fact made by Thule but Thule don't list it!!

By chance I know of a set of roofbars that just came available! PM me if interested. The come packed and branded Porsche and I wasn't ever able to find them available elsewhere.

bike racks 955 044 002 66 £104.87 each inc vat.
Worth asking for a deal with an opc if you buy the lot , don't ask , don't get.

Hey I'm in London, sold the RS last week but still have the genuine Porsche roof rack (by Thule): just the bars...you will need to top-up for the bike...but plenty enough for surfboards/windsurf/snowboards.

I guess for the right cash (GBP-USD) I could hand it to you.
