Spotted: 340R on the road!!!

Couldnt believe my eyes when it went past, I've never seen one in the metal, never mind on the road!

Heading thru Harrogate town centre around 4pm today.

Is it anyone on PH?

A friend just bought a blue 340r, so I think it must have been his. After all, all 340r came from the factory painted grey so how many blue ones can there be?

Just the one, probably. If you watch the "Lotus, Best of British" DVD it's mentioned towards the end by the Factory service manager, as one example of customer customisation work they carry out....

I've seen a yellow one as well as the clear 'Expose' but I think that's more of a development toy for Lotus.

Yep, the Harrogate car was definitely blue so that probably was the one!

I live near Leeds and all this talk of 340Rs has rekindled my passion for having a ride in one!

Either that or an R500 caterham, my ultimate "fantasy" ride!

About 100 340's in the UK.

a few are blue, couple black, a yellow one, there was a LRG with yellow strpe but that died , think the red one is in Belgium...
