As per the title, how much headroom is needed within a garage in order to accommodate an open tailgate for a standard Range Rover (not Sport or Evoque).

I've tried a couple of dealers but they're unable/unwilling to help.

Thanks in advance.

Just measured mine for you. My garage door is the "up and over" type and gives a clearance from the floor of 80" when open. With the Rangie in access mode, the upper tailgate door opens fully with 1.5" clearance. HTH.

Nice Pork by the way.

Thank you very much, working on an office to residential conversion of a "grand" building with a new vehicle lift and basement garage, the architect's brief requires access for an armoured Rabge Rover.

Is the suspension kept the same on an armoured version?

I.e. does it still have access mode?

I have no idea.

Just a thought but all armoured Rangies have different suspension set ups to cope with the weight , wheels tend to be larger too so height overall can vary so you may need to check out the precise vehicle

Good luck..

depends totally on the category of 'protection'

you really need to speak to the company doing the armoured vehicle

note that it offers no quoted protection against RPG which in the middle east represents the greatest threat level - nor does it offer anything about IED's - not being flippant just making a threat assessment

like the try it out comment - lol

send it back with loads of holes!!
