Tyre fitters / Repair / Allignment - St Albans, Herts

Can anyone recommend a place to get my tyres checked / fixed in St Albans.

First I want them to check if my wheels are buckled or out of shape. I have a strong feeling they may need repairing or replacing though.

Anyone recommend someone who provide a good reliable service but do not charge an arm and a leg?

Try Event Tyres, they come out to your home or work and after using them for the first time a while ago can really recommend them. So do everybody who use them it seems. Think they cover St.Albans too.

Can't see myself going back to hanging round tyre shops on a Saturday morning again.

I always use Hometyre ( www.hometyre.co.uk) - they're a mobile tyre fitter so they come out to you and don't charge the Earth either.

It's dead easy to check yourself if your wheels are buckled. Jack up corner, spin wheel by hand whilst holding a finger lightly against the inner rim - you will instantly feel whether the wheel is true. Repeat on other three wheels. Rejoice or cry!
