Does anyone have any recommendations of decent places to stay near Cadwell Park? I'm tempted to do a trackday there soon, but it's a long drive up from the south coast, so would really need a place to stay the night before. A Google search landed me on a couple of non-PH forum topics with mixed results regarding local B&Bs.

Suggestions more than welcome, thanks!

Group of us are staying here tomorrow night http://www.tathwellcottages.co.uk/

It's cheap, convenient and they have an optional garage. I'll tell you if it's ok on Wednesday night when we get back.

The splash inn is nice. Good sized car park as well. You have to go through a ford to get to it but it is mouth and not too deep. Well recommended

We stay at The Brackenborough - just down the road and very nice. Big car park too if you have a trailer, etc.

Other options, reported as good by other drivers, include;

The Blackhorse, Donington on Bain
The Admiral Rodney, Horncastle
Kenwick Park, Louth
A B+B in Scamblesby ?name
"The Splash" is The Royal Oak, Little Cawthorpe ( you can avoid the ford!)

I've no association with any of these but live nearby and do know they are used by other trackdays folk.

How much would you be looking to spend for the night? I live locally and can recommend The Splash (Royal Oak Inn), Brackenborough Arms, Kenwick Park and then you have a few pubs within Louth town which also offer rooms. I live in Louth so happy to take a look around for you.

A scamblesby b&b is The Paddocks. Stayed there for years. Owner is Steve. Tis on Google with pics etc. Early breaky, always spotless clean & modern and stones throw from the track.

You could take a tent. IIRC Cadwell has on-site camping facilities.

Not got a figure in mind, happy to pay any reasonable rate for a decent place. Thanks for the offer, I may be in touch in the future.

I'm at the place I mentioned earlier. Free wifi, very clean and nicely kitted out, big driveway with space for 5-6 cars and a couple of trailers, very quiet as in the sticks but 5 minutes or so from the track. £80 per 'cottage' and that would sleep 2 easily. We have both cottages and there are 5 of us.

Quick cuppa, shower and I'm off to the circuit. Happy days!

I've booked in at:
Keddington House
5 Keddington Road, Louth, LN11 0AA
01507 603973

Reasonably priced, looks good on the internet - even got a swimming pool for you the cool off after a hard day at the track. Not stayed before so will report back.

Petwood Hotel at Woodhall Spa's ok too. Nice enough, bar, snooker table & within walking distance of a few other bars/curry house.

Friends own The Village Limits at Woodhall Spa, which has a few rooms available. Nice food, and its a pub !!! www.villagelimits.co.uk

Somewhat of a thread resurrection, but thought I'd update to say we finally(!) got round to visiting Cadwell for a trackday at the weekend just gone, and chose The Paddocks, as suggested above. It was a great choice, and Steve is a most helpful owner. We're looking forward to the next trip!

Thanks all.

The Cadwell Park website has a list of places you can stay. I've booked in a very local one for my day on the 28th March

The other year we stayed at a B&B in Horncastle, Mizpah Villa, friendly enough with a good breakfast and in walking distance of the local pub. Only a short drive in the morning to the track.
