Just pondering the mouth watering thought of Lambo re-inventing the Countach.

No need to change the bodywork too drastically just tweak the aero-dynamics i guess then drop
the Aventador running gear in it :-)

IMO the Countach still looks good today and with a few subtle changes here and there and with the
obvious cabin overhaul i reckon they would be onto a big winner.

Anyone else agree or am i just being totally bonkers ?

You forgot 'scale it up by 20% so it can be driven by actual humans rather than chimps, without too much discomfort'. biggrin

Be careful or else it will look like a retro rehash over sized over weight pretntious monstrosity like the new Minis

Or that Miura posted above, which I'm glad Lamborghini resisted making. Where the original was lithe, sensuous and beautiful all at once, that newer effort was soft. uninspired and afraid of its own shadow.

I think it would have to be designed by PH members to be safe.

Any other iconic cars worth a shout ?

Maserati Bora anyone?

Bora would be great! The Ford GT and recent Stratos are great, though some retro cars just dont work.

You can get a modern Corvette altered to look like the original 1950's version .... a bit .... for a price....

There are several takes of classic vehicles based on modern Japanese K-cars, including the Mk2 Jaguar (Mitsuoka Viewt) and the VW microbus (Subaru Sambar).

I guess what i really meant was how would a modern day Countach compare with an Aventador in the looks department?

What would you guys alter / enhance from the original body design to bring it up to modern standards?
