I've just renewed mine today. Renewal quote was lower than last year but still too high, tried the owners club recommended/linked insurer who were even more. Current insurer wouldn't budge at all.

Went on GoCompare, Admiral came up by far the cheapest. So I phoned them, they pretty much matched the online quote and I saved £300. Groovy. I now have a new respect for Comparison sites.

Couldn't be bothered shopping more as I think it's unlikely I'd have beaten it and it does take time.

30, 2years NCB, decent area, FTO GPX Import £670 fully comp (including my breakdown). That's cheap enough for now.

19 with no ncb bonus (no claims either though)
for a Polo 6n2 1.4 pushing out a massive 65 hp completely stock.
Living ten miles away from newport but sharing the same postcode is hurting my wallet to say the least.

Not sure it'll help you but...

I'm 26, clean record, good postcode etc etc and pay:

Audi TTS about £700 with IAM Surety

Vauxhall Eagle Quest about £340 with Footman James (includes my 3 housemates as it's a shared vehicle!)

Ford Popular about £100 with Lancaster.

From my experience you'll get the best deal with the Admiral group and adding parents as named drivers.
