Been trying to find a link to understand what the status of the passes are. I'm in Switzerland tonight, driving off to the passes tomorrow so would be great to know if PH knows what the status of these passes is!

There was a thread that had a link to a website that did just that, but try as I am, I can't find it!

Hope to find a wealth of information when I wake up in the morning!!

Going from Zurich to Lake Como via the passes...

I was in the same situation as you back a few weeks ago. There was a Ferman site that had them all (all the Swiss sites no longer worked), but it looked like the high passes were not going to open until the start of June...

Grimsel - Closed
Furka - Closed
St Gotthard looks open

The snow around Andermatt was particularly heavy this year apparently.

I was in the same situation back at the start of the May, wanting to do the roads around Adermatt.

I drove from Zurich down the A3 to Chur, and took Route 3 south of Chur using the Julierpass which takes you just south of St Moritz, which I stopped at to have a look around as I hadn't been there before. Julierpass was good fun, and if you are in your new toy, it is a lovely road for it.
Continue on Route 3, crossing the border into Italy, which takes you to the top of Lake Como. The east side of Lake Como has the fast motorway, west side which I took is the pretty side, using the SS340. It is about 60km from the top to Como, and will take at least 90 minutes as it is quite slow going, taking longer if traffic is heavy.

If you want to go to Bellagio, you can take the car on a ferry apparently.

Julierpass - lots of snow when I went through

Maloja Pass, don't get stuck behind 2 of these!!!

Lake Como

I left Zurich around 1pm, and I think it must of taken about 4 hours to get to the top of Lake Como, with a few stops along the way.

If you are not rushed, there are great passes to the east of Davos worth doing. Check this site for bikers, who are picky about the roads (on a bike you are!)
