I Don't know it, but I can't stop looking at it in the classifieds!

For me, that's just about all I would need for a weekend car....still wedge of cash though.

Looks lovely, but I wouldn't fancy driving it in warm weather - if I'm reading the ad correctly there's no aircon or sunroof, and small sliding panels in the plastic side windows.

Apparently too Loud for track days, non FIA so can't race either. Sort of a halfway house. It's a track foused rep that you can't use on a track.....for £60,0000.

Doesnt say that at all does it

It does say this

It is currently set for road use, the noise of the exhaust system would limit its entry to circuits

But it could easily be fitted with a silencer and air filters to bring the noise down and make it a formidable trackday car

?...yes ...it does.
Yes, you can convert further....for a price.So it remains It's a track foused rep that you can't use on a track.....for £60,0000.

Suggest you speak to the original manufacturers if you need full SP.

I dont need the full SP as I'm not in the market to buy it.

If I were the fact I may have to change the silencers for some circuits would have no impact on my decision to buy it or not.

Probably about £300 I would think.

And you'd have a set of megaphones that you could sell. Probably for about £300.

In fact, I would be prepared to bet 50p that if you bid Mr Stephens £60k to include swapping the 'phones for a quiet rear silencer he might just do it.

It would be a shame though - it sounds utterly epic.

To clarify, is it this car?

Isn't that the one a guy in here tried to sell for about a year at about 45k ? Looked like a nice example but couldn't find a home for it

There may however be another green rep out there, but it looks very very familiar

Thanks, I saw and heard it running when it was at the original owners/buliders a couple of years ago, fabulous piece of kit, beautifully built

it would cost a lot more than 60k to build this car today, and Nick builds a fabulous rep/evo/homage etc. however the whole point of building one from scratch is that it is a bespoke build to your ideal spec. this makes a post-build car such as this very difficult to value and/or slow to find a new owner. is it worth 45 or 60k, well it just depends on finding a chap who wants this spec. i guess it might be, eventually.

The worry for me is the re-sale. Such a tight market for this kind of car. Plenty of similar cars have stuck for ages in the classifieds.
It would need to have some further money spent to attain FIA status, as a previous white version needed. I would want that for that outlay. Quoted £10,000 for adjustment to comply....never ending pit of money, though do agree that you couldn't build one for that money. Just seems a car between two stools IMO.
