Look at this.

http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/bmwauc/details/0,,1156_...

Very flashy interior (i usually hate it but this one looks nice), awesome styling that wouldnt look out of place in the next 10 years, and still fetching £120,000 12 years after it was made.

Brilliant.

They're nice, I've only seen one in the wild, and a few at car shows, but they are over-priced for what they are.

Surely that alone is almost the definition of not being under-appreiciated.

I saw about 30-40 at the Ring once. Just spend 45 minutes trying to find some photos of them but I can't.

Not really that rare and not as good as a same era Merc SL.

Really don't understand the love for this car, although I am impressed how Hexagon seem to be able to control the market.

There is one that parks next to me that is used as a daily beater, didn't think it would be worth anything like 120k. More like 40k.

It doesn't look all that special to me, it reminds me of a Fiat Barchetta.

One of my "must buy" cars for a lottery win.

I love the proportions of it, and the the wheels aren't comically massive.

Why did it never take off? Was it over-priced when they were new?

Never been a Z8 fan, I'd much rather have an SL (R129).

Now, if we were talking about an E31 8 Series...I'd like it more but I would still take the SL.

I think they're stunning. One of the coolest bmws ever designed for me. Saw a few kicking round Dubai and was always more impressed by these than I was with any Ferrari / lambo that seemed common place.

From what I've read of it, it just wasn't very good. Which is a shame considering how it looks.

Exactly. £120k for a pretty average car. Over-appreciated if you ask me!

They're starring to slip on them these days though, I've recently seen them up elsewhere at 70-80k, much less than the chancers at hex are asking!

Be careful if you fancy a Z3M coupe though, they seem to be holding a few of those & asking double what they're worth wink

They were down at £40k at one point... then all of a sudden they picked up and broke the 6 figure barrier - where they've remained ever since.
