GT Academy - prizes for GT5?

I am currently downloading the GT Academy thingy as I understand it is more than just laps on a track this time. Is it correct that there are various things to do that win you prizes you can then use in GT5? Or have I missed out on it anyway as it has taken so long to download?!

For a clown at the wheel like me, the Golds are getting tougher to get with each phase. The last round should be a good challenge for me.

Anyone else think that Motegi will be the prize for getting all Golds?

any new cars in there as I have most of them in gt5 anyway so that isn't much of an incentive...

cool, done first 3x5 events on one or two attempts each time, does the difficulty ramp up?

Kind off. I still got gold 1st try on each so far but 5 or 6 goes to get a half decent time

Same for me, 5 or 6 goes to get a reasonable time, then I try to get in the top thousand or so which takes me way too many attempts, loading other's ghosts etc . My ultimate ability seems to be average position of 2'000 to 3'000 but out of 90M people registered I should be happy LOL.

No chance of this 40+ guy racing in real life then :-(

That is a rumour at the moment, the game update last week was just over half a gig, that's a big file for just a few fault fixes.... unless of course there was something else hidden in there.
