Black grille & exhaust tips

I see AM are offering black main grill and exhaust tips (it's the trim bit only for the exhaust as far as I can tell) as part of the carbon specials and such like. Does anyone know what the factory charge for these as standalone items, either on a new car or as a retrofit item ?

Someone in the US was suggesting around $1000 for a grille. Have you thought about having yours wrapped or painted? It's likely to be a much cheaper option

I bought my 6-bar bright finish grille from my dealer for about $650 IIRC. For that price you could buy one and have it or your current one painted or wrapped.

John, I just painted my 8 slat flat black. The car itself is Tungsten. Much, much cheaper than a new grille if you want that look

Or coat your grille with PlastiDip. (Take it off the car first to avoid spraying onto the radiator)

I was more thinking what Aston would charge for coating an existing grille in black (whether when buying the car new or tkaing it into them) rather than buying an additional grille, for obvious reasons. Obviously that would be more expensive than doing it yourself, I just wondered how much more expensive

But as I say, will defintely look into some of these options, particularly plastidip

The grill is plastic verticals with either polished or powder coated horiziontals
Easy enough to remove and deconstruct.
Send the horistoinals and exhaust tips to your local firendly powder coater
Get a laquer coat on them to keep easy to clean.

You could do the same with the bonnet and wing grills as well if you wish

black marker pen is useful & effective if your black grille gets chipped though...................
