2 Jags and a Lotus
Discussion
As my father is selling his Jag Mark 2 I thought it was a good idea to take a pic of his 3 cars before it goes as he has none of them all together. The Lotus Excel is the run out Celebration model and is his most recent purchase. The 2 Jags are in the same metallic BRG colour and the Excel is a sort of dark metallic BRG also.
I will be sad to see the Mark 2 go but I love the Excel it’s great to drive and so cheap compared to a few other British (similar era) cars even some earlier decent MGB GT’s Midgets TR7’s and GT6’s fetch more money its crazy when you compare like to like and the Excel was over £30k in 92! If you can find a good one they truly are a real bargain, my dad's goes great for only 180bhp it has a lovely ride sounds brill with the twin carbs and it's handling is a revelation even compared to todays sports cars. He has just fitted new carpets which has made a big difference but the tan leather is unrestored and is everywhere front/rear seats including the front seat backs, full door cards, A pillars, all the dash top and bottom, steering wheel, full length centre consul inc gear gator plus the rear side panels, blimey how much extra would that be today in most BMW's Merc's and Porsches!
