Codemasters F1 Online Beta

Not actually managed to play it. Had Unity player errors then got past that, game loaded to be told user/pass incorrect.
Edit: Managed to get in: this game is garbage. Weird camera angle, car controlled with the mouse. Tried to get a race going spent ages to wait for 23 players to join for it to just spaz out and chuck up a load of errors. Won't be bothering with this again.
I'd say stick to the desktop version but after getting a corrupt save game after 3 seasons I can't recommend that either. Get your s
t together Codemasters and give us Grid 2.

Had an evening with it last week.
Barely scratched the surface though. Control of the car takes some getting used to. I think it would be better without the driving part and going down the route of GT5 (push hard/slow down) and tyre/pitstop management.
The team manager side of things is really good though, but as stated, I've barely scratched the surface with that bit.

Agree, the driving just feels tacked on and a very different class of experience, but I guess it's there to appeal to more of the market share.Barely scratched the surface though. My nirvana of the gaming world would an online experience whereby individuals actually had individual roles, so team manager, driver/s etc etc (although preferably in an endurance racing setting).
