Edit....just shown the Mrs and daughter the pictures and now google is being searched for "places to stay on the isle of Harris"...... I never knew what a stunning place it is until viewing the pictures, another day and something else new learnt......thank you.

'Cloud spilling over the saddle' half way down the page is quite stunning. That must have been some view. I've seen cloud inversions in the Lakes before, but nothing quite so dramatic as this.

The cloud spilling over the saddle looks like it could be in the Alps/Rockies/NZ somewhere. Breathtaking.

We usually stay at the Rodel Hotel, but it was full so stayed here: http://harris-holiday.co.uk/default.asp (Fab) Harris is STUNNING in good weather and CRAP in bad weather as there is nothing at all to do. If I had a family, I'd book a place on the mainland on Skye or near Ullapool (Ferry terminals) and if it was good weather pop across for a couple of days. There's a good campsite at Horgabost on Harris. Easter will more likely be better weather than summer - and no midges.
