Hi

I have just installed some Alpine Type E speakers into the front doors of my 99 Ford Puma.

Now I ma after some Bassy speakers to complement. The factory size for the rear bins are 5x7 or something like that but I have acquired a adapter to fit more conventional sizes?

Any ideas? looking to spend as little as possible

J

Or would I be better off buying some Pioneer TS-A6813i Ford Puma 6x8" 350w Direct Fit Replacement Door Speakers and ditching the adapters?

I tend to find JBL and Kicker good for bass

Pioneer 17cm components with kevlar composite cones (they're yellow) are brilliant for mid and bass. I was very impressed.

If you want bass you should really amp whatever you get. I would go for JL audio, Vibe space or black air, infinity, focal or kicker in that order. Make sure you sound deaden the panel behind and the adapter etc otherwise it will rattle like a charity can.

I really want to do this on a budget though

What about these:

I would not install the tweeters though

and maybe this amp: Alpine - Will it be compatible with my standard FORD CD6000?
