Rouen 1962 , Porsche's only GP Win. 50 yrs ago
Discussion
Poster this in the Porsche Section as well.
Sunday 8th July marks the 50th Anniversary of Dan Gurney's win for Porsche in the 1962 GP . Me and 3 other Old Jammy gits will be in France that week prior to Classic Le Mans and intend to visit the small bits of the circuit that remain.
Is anyone aware of any Official Porsche or other planned commemoration around that time, surely they must be doing something ? We won't be in Rouen on the Sunday but will be there on Weds/Thurs 4th / 5th July, as will the Tour de France.
Has anyone visited the circuit recently ( I do realise it was held using public roads and that much of what were the roads used have been dug up/ by passed etc ) and where should we begin our search ?
