thought I`d share a few pics with you, these were taken by a dutch chap called Han whilst having a passenger ride in steve j`s S2 at Spa last Sunday, I went with the s club lads on their Euro tour last week, 5 days of great driving in France and Belgium, the Ardennes area is spectacular, with some really good twisting roads up and down through the valleys, and ending at Spa for 3 days for the Spa Classic event.
there was a total of 32 cars, mostly s series with a few chims and a cerb, a griff and a sag, great times.

down the start/finish straight approaching the hairpin

into the hairpin

exit and accelerate down to eu rouge,

Fantastic pictures. Brings back some good memories of going over for the F1 last year.

Any grounding at Eau Rouge?

Was going to ask same question? Clive there seems a fair bit of body roll what suspension set up where you running?
Did you get a chance to check your terminal speed down the Kemmel Straight?
Last but not least why the hell was there not more posted about this or did i just miss it? Car looks great by the way smile

I am guessing he can not answer any of those questions as he does not have a helmet on so it is not a track day. If this is the case then you can not rag your car in the way you like to.

I may be wrong though of course.

I t was classed as a 1/2hour parade session, however, the pace car dissapeared into the distance after the first corner, so it was a case of go as fast as you like, some people just pottered along and enjoyed the experience, while other got a move on, me included, there were people with the roofs down, no helmets, exposed arms and legs, so not at all like track day rules, but you could drive as fast as you like.

I didnt have any grounding out issues at all, am running on nitrons with eibach springs, and clicked the dampers up a coulpe of clicks front and rear, I was going around the outside on the hairpin, so she was rolled over a bit although you didn`t feel it, to be honest I didn`t get much time to look at the speedo, to busy trying to pick out the right lines and braking points, but all I can say is that the sag just comes alive on track, an absolute joy to drive, I could have stayed out there all afternoon!hehe
the only time I did glance at the speedo was coming out of the last left hand bend at 110mph before going down to the chicane before the start finish straight, was then putting on the gas before trying to get rid of the speed to get around the chicane in second gear, would be nice to go around with an istructor on a proper track day to see what the car can really do, and improve my ability.

There's a l o n g topic about the trip in the S forum. As Clive mentioned above, this was part of the annual "S Club" tour with a few other models driven by ex S owners or friends of current owners joining in.

Do not worry that you missed out - 2011 was the first running of the Spa Classic and there were a handful of TVRs there, this year 41 attended and next year we will have even more seeing as people will be looking for something to do instead of the Le Mans Classic smile

And you're right, Clive's car does look - and sound - great! One of the funniest moments of the trip for me was being behind Clive and his side facing exhausts when stopped in some roadworks. The guy digging the hole was pretty much at ear level with Clive's exhaust when he pulled away... rapidly. I think he nearly fell over!! I hope his hearing has returned to normal by now... hehe
