Aragh! st, arse, feck

I've just been rebuilding my PC and have formatted my C: (As planned) and my F: (Unplanned) is there anyway of getting the data back? I had backed everything onto the F: drive but I was a dozy halfwit and not put it all on to cd.

Heres hoping!

Depends whether or not the 'format' was a complete low level format which initially sets up the drive for 1st use, or a simple format which just removes the partition map - i.e. the same sort of situation when you delete a file (the data is still there, just the reference to its location has been removed from the directory).

If it was the latter then there should be a good chance of recovering it with one of the current crop of HD tools.
