I've just snapped the clutch cable on my Mk1 Escort. Annoying... anyway, it's got a standard pedal box and a type 9 gearbox. This is what I have left...

What do I ask for at my local motor factors?

Took me less than a minute to find one on eBay. If your motorfactors can't source one (and I bet they can!) then you have a plan 'b'

Yeah, that's what I thought. Nobody would list an RS2000 one! I looked at the Capri/Cortina ones on ebay - just wasn't sure if they'd be the right length?

Motor factors will order it in. They'll probably cross-reference it to a Quinton-Hazell part or something. This is no-where near as hard as you're making it sound!
