I've got whopping great feet - size 12 and wide like those monster slippers. I had a caterham roadsport but even with a lowered floor and my feet crammed into size 11 sparco boots it wasn't working and I sold after a year. I have sat in a caterham SV and it felt good foot wise but I can't spend more than £10k so that's ruled them out.

Ideally I want a 7 with 300hp/ton+ , similar handling to my old caterham and reliable enough to cope with just an annual service from the local 7 specialist .

Any suggestions welcome

Does it have to be a Seven? I know the problem with feet mine are also 12, if you're not fixed on a Seven I'd definitely recommend a Deronda

My Sylva Mojo has a nice roomy pedal box, one of the reasons I chose it... not exactly a 7, but a bit closer than a Deronda ;-)

Have you worked out how much space you need?

As a guide there is 350mm across the top of the pedals in our SuperCat.
Enough space for my size 11 steel toecap work boots.

Thanks for the advice so far. I'm not sure how many cm of pedal space I need and wonder whether it might be affected by the seat angle too? I found with the caterham that it wasn't just finding it difficult to not press two pedal at once but also finding somewhere to plonk my clutch foot when stuck on long boring straight bits of roads. Are Westfield SEIW a tight fit at the pedal end or wide everywhere?

Hi RZSupra,

The Faroux Roadster MB1 has 380mm height at the pedals.
Plenty of room for your size 12.
And for the width, we can move the front of the tunnel a bit to the left to give you maximum room.
By bending the panel a little inwards you get even more room.

The Faroux engine bay is designed for fitting the BMW 6 cylinder.
By putting in a BMW M3 engine from the E36 it also has the requered 300hp/ton.

And all of this can be build < £10k.

I have a Toniq here at the workshop. I took it over to the Nurburgring, and set a respectable 8:15 BTG in it. I have size 11 feet, and didnt have a problem with it. The pedal box is custom to Toniq, and has an adjustable bias bar as an added bonus smile

Im pretty sure the Demo car is going to be up for sale shortly if you arent looking for a new one.

I am a size 13, so most interested to see what might work for me.

Hi RZSupra,

I've got a standard wide bodied Westfield with top mounted pedals, I've size 11-12 feet and have never considered foot room a problem.

I have to be a bit picky on my shoes, no chunky boots - only trainers, but then I've driven a Mini, Clio, 106 and these were the same situation.

Best of luck,
Chris

I'm a size 12/13 wide with a Sylva Mojo - no problems and can even rest the left foot under the pedal. Elbow room with side screens on is also much better.

Thanks again for all the feedback. Apriliafan - I had Peugeot 106 as a courtesy car once and had horrendous problems with it's pedals too.
