im in the middle of my exams and what i could really do with is a drive in a decent car to lif some weight off my feet.

I live in Five Ash Down (east sussex)

Totally agree. If you're at a meet and someone in a nice car offers you a ride, fair enough. Begging for it from strangers is not on, typical British attitude - I can't be bothered to do my work & I want something without putting any effort in etc.
