I've decided I would like to take the family away for a week , leaving this saturday but am struggling to find anything. I've looked on first choice, cosmos, monarch and thomson and have a few options but wondered if anyone could recommend other sites to look at ?

I've tried lastminute.com which is just pointless, it came up with pages and pages of late deals but every single one (and I clicked at least 30) just said 'no longer available'. But when I searched again, the same ones kept coming up. I couldnt find a single last minute deal that when selected was actually available !

Any help much appreciated.

Have you tried www.expedia.co.uk, I find them much better than LastMinute generally, I've not used them for a late deal though.

A couple of friends of mine have used travelzoo.com and recommended them to me.

Seems to be very busy for this weekend, I have been looking for something, but prices are holding high.

Unsurprising with it being a bank holiday plus the extra day for the Jubilee, the world and his grandma are off...

There don't seem to be many bargains, perhaps not surprisingly -but teletext still does holidays.

I remember reading in the Times that all the travel websites have 2-3 big corporate owners (cant remember who owns whom) so there is never really much difference in holiday prices as they operate a bit of a cartel.
