So guys and gals I wont be on here as much as I used to, as I am now officially unemployed.
Instead of being sat at a computer for 12 hours a day i will be stripping a Volvo for parts to ebay, selling an MG, sorting the garages, plumbing in a washing machine and maybe doing a little panic jobhunting.

If anyone has any leads for Draffie/designer work or needs any TVR work done in South Cumbria give me a shout. I can swap a clutch in a few hours now smile

Lifes a bh sometimes aint it! I went through 4 jobs in a year just being laid off each time as work was drying up, decided to set up my own franchise in the end and never get time free nowadays! shame you wernt closer, I would get you to do a few bits on the chim for me! then again with the recent posts on the 'randomw TVR pics' thread, maybe not hehe

good luck with finding something though! could be worse, you could be a doctor whos losing part of a huge pension and only getting a big one from now on........

Life of a contractor eh! I assume the downtime between contracts to be longer these days. Maybe 3 months rather than say 3 weeks.
When in this situation I try and organise my day such that I can enjoy my down time ie I tend to focus my on-line role hunting to post working day (therefore pick up all the new roles) and then in the morning I spend a couple of hours on calling contacts, hot leads and general 'marketing'. Leaves time for Pistonheads, cars, mountain bike, walks, lunches etc during the day (oh and the odd interview).

As previous posts, if you're happy to travel to Aberdeen, I'd be amazed if you cant get a very well paid job (6 figure pa) by the end of the week?

I plan to be launching harder this weekend. Gonna have a good one.

Not worked with Catia 5 yet. Did use Catia 4 on the JSF program in Woodford but I know 5 is quite different and requires training.

Just done 320 miles from Portsmouth to Ulverston on a tank and beat the tomtom by 30 minutes. I reckon thats over 26mpg. Not bad considering the boot, rear shelf, and passenger side were crammed full of gear including tools, wheels, 3 full nitrous bottles etc etc.

Opened the post to find some good news.... option for a speed awareness course coutesy of Warwickshire Polize and a letter for an appointment with the Doc on June 10th to discuss the results of my head MRI scan i had 2 weeks ago. So that must mean its not urgent right? I hope so.

Oh and its a yes to be willing to travel to Aberdeen. 6 figures per annum? Does that include pence? I aint greedy, £70k will be enough for me initially. Where do i apply?

that's hard to hear, but the WORLD WILL NOT PERISH.
I hope you'll have a job soon and many forum members will give TVR work.
